Stories from the Village
New Brevet Publications proudly presents Stories from the Village by Harold P. Kurtz, edited by David Kurtz.
Seventy years in the making! First, Harold had to live it. Then it took decades to process. He always called Brandon, Wisconsin “home”, though. Stories were told around the dinner table, and a set of Christmas-themed stories were written and shared, one each Yuletide, until a full collection was at hand. These were lovingly brought together for the classic Hardly a Silent Night, originally published in 2004. This was followed up twice, first by Ring the Bell and Count the People in 2008, then finally by The Missing Library Books in 2012.
Now they are compiled together, along with four brand new Village stories, revised and edited by Harold’s son David Kurtz, author and founder of New Brevet Publications. This lovely volume is filled with over 40 stories from the Village, of a by-gone era of family, faith, and frivolity.
If you loved the original volumes, you’ll love having them together, with the hilarious and warm introduction “The Most Grievous Sin” recounted by David Kurtz. If you haven’t yet entered the Village, we invite you to do so today, in Paperback or Kindle e-book form.
